Young leaders will get a chance to build a “master-disciple” relationship with available role models of their choice from around the world.
The invitees to our program include prominent individuals who devote much of their time and commitment to MASTERCLASS. For example, Marshall Goldsmith, one of the respected authorities on leadership, is going to be a mentor to 10-15 young leaders for a year. MISSION AND GOALS
The mission of the Leadership Masterclass project is to initiate a global social transformation, consisting of promoting attitudes in accordance with the principles put forward on the basis of Pope Francis’ words, especially among those aged between 20 and 30.
The long-term goal is to provide, over a period of three years, at least a MILLION PEOPLE AROUND THE GLOBE with practical tips and tools which will allow them to develop leadership skills based on universal values, and, consequently, to raise personal efficiency in action and to create an open platform available to all, enabling a global debate on the broad concept of leadership.
The short-term goal is to carry out a pilot scheme in Poland, with the objective of training a minimum of 5,000 people in 12 months from the above mentioned target group.
THE MASTERCLASS PROGRAM was launched in 2015 as the initiative of the Polish CTN Foundation and themed as Future thinking and back to values. Nearly 300 entrepreneurs took part in four pilot editions, two of which were held in Rome. The idea was well received and in 2016 an agreement was signed between CTN and the Pontifical Council for Culture to organize Masterclass as a global program. In 2017, the official pre-premiere took place, attended by 400 young leaders and accomplished business representatives. The premiere is planned for 2018 in Rome, with the participation of Pope Francis.
The organizers of the project are: FUNDACJA CENTRUM TWÓRCZOŚCI NARODOWEJ and the PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR CULTURE.
THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR CULTURE is one of the departments of the Roman Curia, the administrative body of the Holy See. The council deals with relations between the Church and the worlds of culture and science, with an emphasis on promoting dialogue between different facets of the contemporary world. Since 2007, the role of President of the Council has been performed by cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi. www.cultura.va
Over the past 15 years, many eminent figures have contributed to the activity of the FUNDACJA CENTRUM TWÓRCZOŚCI NARODOWEJ (CTN). Among them were Professor Krzysztof Zanussi, Professor Leszek Kołakowski and Jan Nowak-Jeziorański, to name only a few. The aim of CTN is to help people, especially the young, to achieve the greatness to which they are predestined. Between 2009-2014, the Foundation organized the festival Karuzela Cooltury, which was visited by almost 800, 000 people over a period of six years. The event that received the highest media coverage, aired by 56 TV stations around the world, was a performance of break-dance artists in front of John Paul II. www.ctn.org.pl
